Cycle Network + Green Routes Initiative for Greystones
Planning and Development Regulations 2001-2008, Part 8.
Proposal includes:
· Shuttle yield system at the Arch on Victoria Road.
· Mini roundabout at the junction of Church Road/Rathdown Road/New Road.
· Roundabout replacing existing traffic signals at Blacklion
· Traffic signals at the junction of R761/Bellevue Road/Grattan Park
· Elevated traffic calming measures at St Kevin’s National School
· Cycle lanes from the Harbour to Redford
· Cycle lanes from Bellevue Road/R761 junction at Tesco to Blacklion
· Gated entrance design to Greystones at Redford Cemetery
· Improvements at the South Beach Promenade
· Improved parking along Rathdown Road & Mountainview Park
All Residents, but especially those immediately affected by the proposed scheme, are strongly urged to examine the proposals in details. Plans and particulars are available at Greystones Town Council, Greystones Library and at www.wicklow.ie.

Friday 27th January, Arthritis Ireland (Niamh Murphy) gave a very interesting talk to a full house. The talk was very informative and concentrated on the age profile of sufferers, how it can be eased and diet and excercise. You can get more information on clicking on the link above. Niamh talked about the importance of an excercise programme and joining a regular event in order to build up fitness levels to help with the pain management
